INTERNET ACCESS, interest in acquiring internet proficiency & college-ready skills

Description:
The theme of this course is inquiry:  You will learn how to become interested in anything the professor assigns, as well as how to find out about almost anything on the internet.  You will learn to read, write, & research by approaching each new task from a personal perspective.  You will stop thinking "I can't," and start thinking "I wonder..."  You will sharpen your understanding of the distinctions between what you know and what you need/want to know, and you will use guided internet searches to begin to   challenge some of your assumptions and to examine an issue from multiple perspectives.  You will also learn ways to write-up your results and you will polish your essay-writing skills.
